Milan is more than a Jamaican beauty. By the age of five, she had already mastered the art of performing and modeling in front of mass audiences. Now, after countless pageant titles, talent and modeling appearances, and even starring in BET’s College Hill: South Beach, Milan is undoubtedly poised to take the world by storm.

Born Lesa-Gayle Milan Wee Tom in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Gary Wee Tom and Juliet Royes, Milan showed an undeniable star quality and outgoing personality as a young child. She was inspired by her mother, a former actress on the popular Jamaican soap opera, Royal Palm Estate. Milan started participating in the Jamaica Carnival by age four; and the opportunity ignited a modeling career. Soon Milan was on the front page of caribbean magazines and newspapers, as well as on the stage across Jamaica sporting authentic carnival costumes. Milan also appeared in the caribbean children’s TV show, J.C. Lodge.


Recently snagging the coveted 2010 Miss Jamzone International title in Guyana, August 2010.. Milan went on to the Miss International pageant in Chengdu, China where she left everyone chanting for Jamaica. Milan is no stranger to pageant competitions, and has a slew of titles under her belt to prove it, including Miss Florida Caribbean, Miss Jamaica Caribbean World, Miss Jamaica International and Miss Jamzone International.


This multi-talented beauty queen is also no stranger to the television screen. Many may remember her from the popular BET reality show, College Hill: South Beach, which aired weekly in over 85 million households in the U.S., Caribbean and the UK in 2009. Prior to College Hill, Milan also held hosting duties as a TV personality on Kariblink TV and BET J. She has also graced popular hip-hop and dancehall music videos for artists like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Nelly, Yung Jeezy, Sean Garret, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, Akon, Timberland, Kardinal Offishal, Munga Honorable, Plies, Trick Daddy, J. Holiday and Triple C.


In addition to a successful pageant run and TV career, Milan is also a model with Ethnicity Models, the premier urban model management company. She’s been featured in numerous print campaigns and photo shoots; and has even been photographed by renowned celebrity photographer, Derek Blanks.


Milan is also writing a book which highlights her pageant experiences, as well as the personal obstacles and challenges that she’s overcome. She divulges pageant secrets and tips to winning the crown, but most importantly she encourages young women to embrace themselves and to develop the confidence to become winners in their everyday lives.


Milan’s goal is to one day open an orphanage for children born with birth defects, this is also her pageant community platform and an important cause she passionately advocates for. Milan would also like to return to television, but this time as the host of her own TV show. She also desires to launch her own make-up and clothing line, which should come pretty natural to her, since she already designs her own amazing pageant gowns. Milan also wants to become a contestant on the popular Dancing With The Stars series. Given the many milestones that this talented vixen has accomplished, some would think it’s just a matter of time before that dream becomes a reality!
